I've overplucked my brows for years. Can they still look good?+
Almost always, yes. Even sparse brows have a natural shape worth working with. We'll start by *not* removing what's there, letting growth come back in while shaping what already exists. A tint can fill the gaps visually while the hair regrows. Lamination can redirect what you have to cover sparse areas. If after honest assessment we agree the brows can't be revived, that's when we discuss microblading options together. No pressure either way.
Threading vs waxing, which is better?+
For brows, threading wins on three counts: precision (single hairs at a time = sharper shape), gentleness (no hot wax on delicate eye-area skin), and safety for sensitive skin or anyone on retinoids/acne products. Waxing is faster on large areas but too imprecise for the architecture of a great brow. I only do threading for that reason.
How long does brow lamination actually last?+
4–6 weeks for most clients. The first 24 hours are the most important, keep the brows dry, no makeup, no rubbing. After that they're low-maintenance: brush them up daily with a clean spoolie, use the conditioning serum I send you home with. The lamination effect gradually softens; you'll know it's time to come back when your morning brushing stops holding the shape.
Will tinting look natural? I'm worried about the "drawn-on" look.+
Tinting only colors the actual hair (and a soft skin stain that fades after a few days). I custom-blend the shade to match your natural hair tone, usually one shade lighter than the brow hair you have now, never darker. It looks like you slept in your brow makeup, not like you applied it. If you've seen tinted brows that look harsh, that's almost always a too-dark color or skin staining left intentionally, neither of which is how I work.
How often should I come back for maintenance?+
Threading: every 3–4 weeks to maintain shape. Tinting: every 4–5 weeks before color fades fully. Lamination: every 4–6 weeks. The full combo bundles all three together so you can space your visits around the longest-lasting service. I'll always tell you honestly what your brows actually need at each visit, even if it's less than you booked.
Does threading hurt?+
Mild. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch rather than pain. The first appointment is usually the most sensitive because we're removing more hair to establish the shape. Maintenance visits are noticeably easier. The skin around the brows desensitizes over time, so regular clients say it barely registers. If you're nervous, tell me and we'll go slower with breaks between sections.
I've had bad brow shaping before. Will you listen if I'm picky?+
Always and I prefer picky clients, honestly. We start by mapping the proposed shape with pencil and getting your approval *before* any hair is removed. If you don't love what's drawn on, we adjust. Bring photos of brows you like, brows you hate, and any specific concerns. The more I know, the better the result. No service is more important than a client walking out happy.
