Three services with different jobs

ServiceWhat it changesWhat it cannot do
ThreadingThe outline and unwanted hair around the browsAdd hair or pigment to a bare gap
TintingThe colour and visibility of existing hairsCreate new brow hairs
LaminationThe direction and arrangement of existing hairsReplace hair that is not there

These treatments can complement each other, but you do not need all three for every visit. Bring a photo of your usual brow makeup if it helps show the finish you like.

Choose threading for a cleaner shape

Threading removes unwanted hairs to define the outline. It is a useful starting point if you like your natural colour and fullness but want the shape tidied or balanced. Discuss how much hair you want to keep before starting.

Aura Beauty Atelier lists threading and shaping at $30 CAD. Maintenance is $20 CAD for clients who already have a shape and need a tidy between appointments. Ask which appointment fits if your last shaping was some time ago.

Choose tint when lighter hairs disappear

Tint adds colour to existing brow hairs. It can make fair hairs more visible and help the brow look more defined. It is different from a cosmetic tattoo and does not give permanent colour to an area with no hair.

Brow tint is $15 CAD, or $35 CAD with threading. Let the studio know about previous dye reactions and ask whether a patch test is needed before your appointment.

Choose lamination when direction is the issue

Lamination helps arrange hairs that sit flat or grow in different directions. The effect can look fuller because the existing hairs are positioned differently. It is not a hair growth treatment.

The main service page describes results lasting around 4 to 6 weeks. Lamination alone is $75 CAD. Lamination with tinting and threading is $90 CAD. Read the lamination results and aftercare guide for the first day and ongoing maintenance.

A simple way to choose

You want a cleaner shape and more colourThreading with tinting

If you have bare gaps, explain that at your consultation. Neither tint nor lamination adds new hairs. Our lamination and permanent brow comparison explains how pigment treatments differ, including the longer commitment involved.

Before your appointment

Let the studio know about irritation around the brows, recent treatments and previous reactions. Ask about any preparation or patch testing needed for the service you choose. If the skin is irritated, discuss timing before booking.

See the complete brow menu for current options. You can also ask for advice before selecting a combination. A more expensive appointment is not automatically a better match for your brows.
