Healing is a process, not a fixed deadline
Nano and powder brows can look different from one week to the next. Fresh colour is not the finished result, and surface appearance alone does not tell you that the skin is ready for another procedure. The portfolio images elsewhere on this site illustrate treatments, not a dated healing sequence. Compare your progress with your own photographs and discuss concerns during your appointment.
At Aura Beauty Atelier, a separate $150 touch up can be booked after 30 days. Your skin and settled colour are assessed before any refinements. Your personal instructions take priority over a general timeline.
A guide to the stages
| Stage | What you may notice | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| First few days | A darker colour. Some tenderness or redness | Follow your cleaning and aftercare instructions. Watch for symptoms that worsen. |
| Following days | Itching, flaking or an uneven appearance | Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate the area. |
| Following weeks | Colour and texture continue to settle | Avoid judging the final result from one day’s appearance. |
| After 30 days | Assessment of the settled result | If your skin is ready, attend the separately booked $150 touch up and mention any ongoing irritation. |
These are broad stages, not a prediction of exactly what will happen on a particular day. Not every client flakes or notices a pronounced pale phase.
Why the colour may look lighter
Some clients notice a temporary lighter or patchy appearance during healing, sometimes called “ghosting”. The appearance can continue to change, but colour returning to a particular intensity is not guaranteed.
Do not try to correct it yourself with exfoliation, pigment or another procedure. Share your concerns during your appointment and review the settled result at your follow up.

- Wash your hands before touching the treatment area.
- Use the cleaning method and products specified in your written aftercare.
- Do not pick or scratch flaking skin.
- Follow the instructions on makeup, skincare, exercise, swimming and sun exposure.
- Ask before adding products or changing the routine.
Keep your written instructions accessible. If you are unsure about washing or a product, contact the studio rather than combining conflicting routines found online.
30 day and annual touch ups
Nano and powder brows are $400 CAD for the first session. A touch up after 30 days is a separate $150 CAD appointment, and an annual touch up is $200 CAD. Your consultation lasting 15 minutes is free.
The 30 day touch up assesses the result of your first treatment once the skin is ready. An annual touch up maintains an older, settled result. It is a different appointment. If the skin has not settled, ask the studio about the appropriate timing rather than treating the calendar as a guarantee.
When to contact the studio or seek medical care
Contact the studio about your aftercare routine, appearance or follow up. Seek medical advice promptly for spreading redness, worsening pain, pus or fever. These symptoms should not be dismissed as an ordinary change in colour.
The American Academy of Dermatology explains signs of tattoo reactions and infection. This general guide does not diagnose a skin reaction.
