Good preparation begins with choosing a suitable treatment and knowing what the appointment involves. Aura Beauty Atelier offers nano and powder brows. If you searched for microblading, use the consultation to understand the machine technique being proposed.
The consultation is free and takes 15 minutes. Bring your questions about the result, comfort, healing and touch up timing. You do not need to arrive having already chosen a technique.
Your appointment checklist
- Share previous brow tattooing, removal or recent beauty treatments.
- Let the studio know about medicines, allergies, skin conditions and previous reactions.
- Bring reference photos and a photo of your usual brow makeup.
- Read and save the preparation instructions supplied for your appointment. Bring any questions rather than substituting a routine found online.
- Allow around 2.5 hours for the first session.
- If needed, plan for a separate $150 touch up after 30 days and allow time to heal afterwards.
Medicines, skincare and recent treatments
Do not stop or change prescribed medication for a cosmetic appointment without advice from your prescriber. Share the relevant information with the studio before booking so suitability and timing can be discussed.
Mention retinoids, exfoliating products, peels, injectables, waxing, tinting and lamination near the area. The appropriate interval depends on the product or treatment and your skin. Follow the specific instructions you receive instead of using one timetable for everything.

Choose a few references that show the finish you like: fine strokes, soft shading, a lighter front or a more defined tail. Photos of your own brows with and without your usual makeup are useful too.
Explain what you would like to change and what you want to keep. Your design is discussed before pigment is applied. A reference is a starting point rather than a promise to reproduce someone else’s brows.
Plan the visit in three steps

Avoid brow treatments just before your appointment unless advised otherwise at your consultation. Keep your natural starting shape visible when discussing the design.
Planning around a wedding or holiday
Do not plan a first brow treatment immediately before an important event. Allow for the first appointment, a possible touch up after 30 days and healing after that follow up. Discuss your event date during the consultation. Neither healing nor the final appearance can be guaranteed by a deadline.
Mention holidays, swimming plans and periods when you cannot follow aftercare. A later appointment may be the more practical choice.
What your appointment includes
Nano and powder brows are $400 CAD for the first session. A separate touch up after 30 days is $150 CAD, and an annual touch up is $200 CAD. Your consultation lasting 15 minutes is free.
Your first session includes consultation review, mapping and design, the procedure and aftercare instructions. The studio is at 199 Ninth St, Unit A, inside MTH Collective Studio, Etobicoke. Check the current booking details before your appointment. Save the address and your confirmation on your phone, and message the studio ahead of time if you need arrival or access information.
